GAWA’s MODEL
The Georgia Agricultural Wellness Alliance organizational model, with our farmers, farm workers, and their families at its heart, is designed to stand up along side of existing organizations, coalitions, agencies, health care providers, faith-based organizations, and businesses who support GAWA’s vision of a thriving, healthy, and safe agricultural community in Georgia.

Strengthening Your Community: By partnering with GAWA, you or your organization can bring programming, speakers, and mental health training programs to your community in Georgia, often at little or no-cost. Here are some of the ways we can help you foster resiliency and wellness with your help:
Speakers and Programs: GAWA and many of our partners can provide speakers on topics related to farm stress, mental health, and suicide prevention in our communities.
Suicide Awareness, Prevention, and Trauma Recovery Training Programs: GAWA can connect you with certified trainers who can provide programming in-person or online to inform, equip, and strengthen your community’s readiness to prepare, discuss, and respond to the impacts of agricultural stress and suicidal ideation.
